Given the possible cybersecurity risks and the risks to data privacy, this policy area will therefore map out all security vulnerabilities. Advanced ICT will enable the government to protect its citizens and to respond faster and more efficiently to (potential) incidents that threaten public safety. This component also focuses on protecting citizens' privacy as information flows through applications and between the various integrated components of a smart city
